The Architecture of a Quiet Morning

A good morning is built, not found. Mine has load-bearing walls: coffee made by hand, one page of longhand before any screen, and a window of time that belongs to no one else.

Architecture teaches us that structure creates freedom. A corridor decides where you walk so your mind is free to wander. A ritual does the same for attention.

Load-bearing habits

The list is short on purpose. Rituals fail when they become performances. Three walls are enough to hold a roof.

  • Make something by hand before consuming anything by feed.
  • Write one page badly. Badly is fine. Done is the point.
  • Leave the phone in another room, like a guest who talks too much.
End of piece — thank you for reading slowly
